3.7.5 Atomic radii
Atomic radii r of the elements, also called
single-bond metallic radii or metallic radii, have been calculated by Pauling
using interatomic distances and an equation relating such distances with bond
number. Metallic radii r12 have been obtained similarly with
an assumed number of nearest neighbours equal to 12.
